About Us

The United States Power Squadrons® is America’s Boating Club®. We are a nation-wide boating organization that is structured into over 30 districts with over 300 squadrons that are geographically associated, including Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands. Our mission is to improve the competence, knowledge, and enthusiasm of the boating community by providing high quality boater education and enjoyable boating and social opportunities.

America’s Boating Club, District 22 is located on the west coast of Florida and has 15 squadrons.  Our vision is increased boating enjoyment and safety.  We try to achieve this by teaching boating skills which lead to safety on the water and more fun.  Better boaters feel more confident on the water, at the helm, and in the company of other boaters.  Information about training courses and seminars are available at the America’s Boating Club National Educational webpage.  Additionally, each squadron in District 22 offers very comprehensive public boating education classes and/or seminars to the boating community.  You are invited to visit their individual websites or contact them to obtain up-to-date information for a course in your area.

Join our club and become a member.  We are passionate about having fun together and giving back to our communities.  You will be part of a group that continues to learn and help others, and you’ll create lifelong memories and friendships.  Membership Benefits include discounts on a wide variety of valuable products and services such as classes, insurance, travel, health services, and more. Check out the complete list of member benefits.  You will be able to participate in the CoOp Charting Program, where members supply information to the Marine Chart Division of NOS/NOAA leading to corrections to nautical charts, small craft charts, Coast Pilot publications and formerly, Small Craft Facilities.  A “Merit Mark” is awarded to a club member for substantial personal effort in furthering the interest, programs and objectives of America’s Boating Club, its districts and local clubs.

District 22 squadrons also provide free Vessel Safety Check (VSC). They are offered to boat owners to help them comply with federal and state safety rules. This service is offered in partnership with the U. S. Coast Guard Auxiliary and supported by Boat U.S.
